Examination for the post of Principal

The Departmental Test of Vice Principals for promotion to the post of Principal & Written Test for the post of Principal under special recruitment drive 2009-10- for SC/ST is scheduled to be held as under:

Date of Examination: 22.05.2011 (Sunday)

Duration of Examination: 2 hours

Timings of Examination: 8.30 am to 10.30 am

Examination Centre : Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Sector 25, Chandigarh (adjacent to Panjab University)

Reporting time at exam centre : 8:00 am sharp

Date of interview:/personal talk 23^rd / 24^th May, 2011 10.00 a.m. onwards

Candidate eligible for interview: Those candidates who secure qualifying marks (as decided by the Samiti) in the departmental test for promotion to the post of Principal are only eligible for personal talk/interview.

Vice-Principals who had already appeared for similar test in the past are also required to appear the present test (i.e. 22.05.2011) and those who qualify this written test will appear for personal talk / interview on 23^rd / 24^th May, 2011.

Scheme of Examination :

Examination will be held for one paper consisting 200 numbers of Multiple Choice Questions with four (4) options for each question. Each question carry one(1) mark and thus the total marks would be 200. The duration of the test is 2 (two) hours only (i.e. 8:30 am to 10:30 am). Questions will cover the following areas :

i) General Knowledge : 25 questions ii) Mental ability : 25 questions

iii) General English : 25 questions iv) Management Aptitude : 25 question

v) Education Administration : 40 questions

vi) General Financial Rules : 30 questions

vii) Disciplinary Rules [CCS(CCA) Rules, 1965] : 30 questions

There is no NEGATIVE MARKING for evaluation purpose. No mark will be deducted for wrong answer(s).

Admit Card with roll number and detailed instructions regarding the conduct of examination have already been dispatched.

N.B. (i) Departmental candidate appearing for the test should collect the admit card from the concerned JNV. In case they fail to collect the admit card from the concerned JNV, they should collect duplicate admit card from the Regional Office, Chandigarh i.e. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti(RO), Bay No.26-27, Sector 31-A, Chandigarh one day in advance of the test by submitting documentary proof of their identity along with their two recent photographs.

(ii) Other than departmental candidates: The candidates may approach one day in advance to the Regional Office, Chandigarh i.e. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti(RO), Bay No.26-27, Sector 31-A, Chandigarh and collect the duplicate admit card on production of their proof of their identity, in case they do not receive the admit card in time. They should also being two recent passport size photographs.

(iii) The intimation regarding the interview for the post of Principal under special recruitment drive 2009-10 for SC/ST would be issued by NVS HQ separately after the conduct of the written test.
